WHAT AILMENTS QUALIFY FOR MEDICAL CANNABIS IN MARYLAND?

Any individual who lives in the state of Maryland whose provider recommends medical cannabis as a treatment option for a qualifying medical condition is eligible to register with the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission (MMCC) as a patient. Patients in Maryland diagnosed with one of the following severe, debilitating or life-threatening medical conditions, are afforded legal protection under the Maryland Medical Marijuana law, as per the Natalie M. LaPrade Medical Marijuana Commission. Please see a comprehensive list below.

ADMISSION TO HOSPICE OR RECEIVING PALLIATIVE CARE

A chronic or debilitation disease or medical condition that results in a patient being admitted into hospice or receiving palliative care.

CHRONIC OR DEBILITATING DISEASE OR MEDICAL CONDITION

A chronic or debilitating disease or medical condition or the treatment of a chronic or debilitating disease or medical condition that produces:
·      Cachexia
·      Anorexia
·      Wasting Syndrome
·      Sever or Chronic Pain
·      Severe Nausea
·      Seizures or persistent muscle spasms

SEVERE CONDITIONS WITH FAILED TREATMENT OUTCOMES

Patients Diagnosed with severe conditions where other more traditonal medical treatments have been ineffective
